Ken Miller
Sr Vice Commander - Air Force

Ken Miller enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1976 at the age of 16 and served on active duty from 1977 until his retirement in 1997, completing 20 years of honorable service. He began his career as a jet mechanic before transitioning into computer technology, where he served as a software developer and Generation Flow Plan Manager for Global Force Management.
  
During his military career, Ken was stationed at several notable assignments, including:
  • 64th Flying Training Wing, Reese AFB, Lubbock, TX (1977–1983)
  • 8th Tactical Fighter Wing, Kunsan AB, Republic of Korea (1983–1984)
  • 7th Bomb Wing, Carswell AFB, Fort Worth, TX (1985–1991)
  • 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman AFB, Knob Noster, MO (1991–1997)
Ken concluded his Air Force service by contributing to the activation and operational deployment of the B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber into the U.S. Air Force inventory.

Following his retirement from military service, Ken and his family relocated to Sherman, Texas, where he joined Grayson County Government in 1997. Over the next 23 years, he served his community with distinction, retiring in 2020 as the Information Technology Director.
Ken is a Life Member of VFW Post 2772 in Sherman, TX, where he currently serves as Senior Vice Commander. Dedicated to service and camaraderie, he remains active in supporting veterans and his local community.

Originally from Plainfield, New Jersey, Ken now resides in Sherman, Texas, with his wife Erin, a fellow Grayson County retiree and proud member of the Post Auxiliary.
