Cesar Saenz
Jr Vice Commander/Ways and Means Chair - Army

Cesar served in the Navy from 2000-2004 as an Aviation Boatswain Mate Handler 3rd Class (Aviation Warfare Specialist) on the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74), where he deployed in 2001-2002 WestPac to the Persian Gulf. In 2008 he joined the US Army National Guard from 2008-2020. He served as a Sr. Radar Operator in F Battery 144th, Field Artillery Unit in West Los Angeles, California.
 
Cesar deployed to Kandahar Airfield (KAF), Afghanistan, in 2013-2014 in supportof Operation Enduring Freedom. During his military service, Cesar received the following medals, badges and commendations:

Cesar is currently a member of the Sherman VFW Post 2772, where he is the Junior Vice Commander. Cesar constantly assists and volunteers where he can with any activities going on with the VFW. Also, he is employed full-time at L3Harris, where he is a Senior Specialist Technical Writer and continues to work teaching and supporting all military branches. His aspiration for the military and veterans keeps him actively trying to find new ways to help improve and create new programs to get veterans engaged in the community and VFW.
 
Cesar was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, and now resides in Sherman, Texas, with his wife, Cynthia Saenz, who is also an Army Veteran, son Nicholas and five-year-old daughter Sofia.
