Cindy Unerfusser joined the VFW in 2007 upon retiring after serving 20 years in the USAF. Her last 3 years, she served as a Career Counselor and Professional Development Director for both the Space Wing and Bomb Wing at Minot AFB, N.D. In Nov 2006, she retired as an E-8, Senior Master Sergeant.
